Last week I had the absolute honour of being a part of the final day of my dear friends Puhoro, completed with traditional hand tools by Croc Tatau over the last 18 months. It has been incredible to watch Moko’s journey towards this point in his own tattoo practice and it was definitely one of those days that moved my soul. Bellow is an intimate snapshot of the day filled with whanau, waiata, katakata, kai and karakia. It was incredibly special to be surrounded by true dedication to keeping traditional art forms and culture alive and I am filled with love and respect for everyone who attended. This story is for them.
